On 2nd April the Commission proposed a second package of measures introducing further flexibility and simplification, the Coronavirus Response Investment Initiative Plus (CRII+). This new package was adopted by the European Parliament on 17 April and was adopted by the Council on 22nd April. Regulation EU 2020/558 came into effect on 23rd April 2020.
